The Bride Wore Chocolate by Shirley Jump

Candace Woodrow has woken up in a stranger’s bed. Three weeks before her wedding. It doesn’t help that she has no idea how she ended up in his bed or the fact that he is super hot. Trying to maintain some dignity, Candace tries to leave. But not before the hottie introduces himself as Michael Volger and much to her relief reveals  that he slept on the couch. Now Candace just wants to put it all behind her.

Easier said than done. Candace owns a gift basket shop with her two best friends. And guess who shows up to place a huge order for his company-Michael Volger. With Michael hanging around, Candace starts to have second thoughts about her wedding. She is marrying a reliable but boring guy. And everything seems to be going wrong with the wedding planning. Her original wedding dress was lost in a fire and she still doesn’t have a replacement and her soon to be mother-in-law is in town and she is a nightmare.

Candace doesn’t know what to do. Does she marry safe, reliable and boring? Or does she take a chance on hot and exciting? With the help of her grandma and friends, Candace will have to make this tough decision. But will she choose the right one?

The characters and the story were great. I also liked all the recipes at the beginning of each chapter. The next book is The Devil Served Tortellini.
